I am considering using Hypnotherapy to stop smoking do you have any thoughts?

So many of my friends have seen a Hypnotist and stopped without too much difficulty. Out of the 6 I know only one has started again and she just went back to the hypnotist for free and she has stopped again. From a lay persons perspective it does seem to work. Especially when you consider that 5 out of the 6 have tried patches 4 have tried acupuncture, 2 have tried the Allan Carr book and god know how many times they have tried "will power" all to no avail yet hypnosis has seemed to work across the board.

It would seem that although it was almost the last resort it has still worked. Further I found this article on “The Sun” site www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/woman/heal...h/article2083588.ece which is interesting.

Wishing you all well Jane

I did try hypnosis years ago but it just ended up with me being very relaxed on a comfy couch

The minute I walked out of the door, I lit up!

It could be that the practitioner wasn't that good or that I don't hypnotise easily. I'd like to give it another go just to find out.

Thanks David

Well I've been!!! I actually went to the same guy I read about in the Sun. It took me about 2 hours to get there but I did get a bit lost. However that was Tuesday and to be honest I have not really thought about it since. Well that's not quite true but when I do think about it (usually when I'm in a situation that I used to smoke) I seem to be able to dismiss it easily. It's quite weird actually.

Anyway I'll let you know how I get on.

Kind regards

Jane

Was that a single session? Or will there be follow up sessions as well?

Good luck!

I've consulted with the specialist concerning this question here ampills.com/stop-smoking/questions/ He gave me rather interesting ideas. If you want you may ask him too, its free. Just recommended!
